Sorry I haven't posted anything for a little while. I am currently in therapy in an attempt to deal with an intense addiction to
Sporcle. I promise that I will return soon, once my twelve step program is through or I have finished all the quizzes, which ever comes first.

Any thoughts on Obama, year 1?
I can't say I have a simple answer to that question. Not happy that the wars are still going on, we don't belong in either country, Iraq was a disaster from the very beginning and something we should have never gotten involved with and Afghanistan was about getting Bin Laden so I think eight years plus later it is clear that mission is a failure. We can't continue to go on spending the extraordinary amount that we do on our military. Eventually people are going to quit lending our government money considering the corruption and waste that goes on - highly recommend reading Chalmers Johnson if you are at all interested in foreign policy.
As far as the domestic front the health care bill has been a boondoggle due to Republican intransigence, but they need to keep fighting for it, there are too many Americans who need help. C+ so far, but there is a learning curve I have not given up on him yet. More also needs to be done in the area of financial regulation after the housing market collapse and bank disasters to avoid future problems - potential fixes are in the pipeline in Congress but we will see what happens, there are a lot of bad people with a lot of money willing to do whatever it takes to keep the status quo.
Congress and the Pentagon are also so amazingly corrupt that he has a pretty difficult task on his hands.
